England impresses with ancient oaks, extensive landscape gardens and luminous facades made of sand and limestone. The lively university town of Oxford and the former noble spa town of Bath also attracts visitors with great architecture, beautiful cafés and parks. Numerous palaces and manor houses are mostly located out of the large cities and metropolitan areas. If you see them, you get an idea of their former owners wealth and power. Due to the hot summer many of these palaces were surrounded by dried grass instead of the typically lush green.
