Walking with Caspar David Friedrich

The German painter Caspar David Friedrich is one of the most important romantic artists of Europe in the 19th century. To get inspired he went on a hike in Central Europe. The author Anneke Hesp has walked in his footsteps and has put together detailed descriptions of their walk in a book. Since Caspar David Friedrich is little known in Poland and the Engadine, this book has been translated in German and also into Polish and English. The design of the books try to reproduce the profound moods of the paintings. Three selected paintings give their colours to the three chapters of the book.
